Our Vision

To help hotels exceed business goals by proactively driving online revenue with innovative and industry leading e-commerce strategies, methods and tactics and building powerful and engaging relationships with stakeholders. 

Our Team

With a combined 25 years of experience in various E-commerce and Digital strategies and fields, the Shaner E-Commerce team will provide education, guidance and a hands on approach for all of your digital needs.

Dave Kopac

Vice President of E-Commerce

David joined the Shaner Hotel Group in 2009 as the Corporate E-Commerce Marketing Manager, promoted to Director of E-Commerce in 2015 and Vice President of E-Commerce in 2019. He has spent more than 18 years focusing on e-Commerce in the hospitality industry. He first entered the industry with Hersha Hospitality Management where he worked on e-commerce initiatives for 64 hotels.

Originally from Harrisburg, David earned his B.A. in Communication from Penn State University and currently resides in State College.

Brittany Biddle

E-Commerce Manager

Brittany joined the Shaner team in August 2021 as an Ecommerce Manager. Prior to Shaner, she worked as a Content Strategist within the sales consulting industry while simultaneously finishing her Master’s in Marketing Research. She currently owns and runs a coffee shop with her husband, where she leads their marketing and social media initiatives. Based in Williamsburg PA, Britt currently splits her time between home and the corporate office in State College. She earned her B.A. in English, Creative Writing from the University of South Florida, and her Master’s in Marketing Research from Michigan State University.

Sunny Burleson

E-Commerce Manager

Sunny started at Shaner in January 2023! Prior to joining the team at Shaner, she spent three years in Hospitality Marketing as a Programming Director for a major home builder in Sarasota, Florida, and later as the Marketing and Programming Manager at the Horseshoe Bay Resort outside of Austin, Texas. She received her degree in Marketing from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and is based in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

Sophia Perez

E-Commerce Manager

Sophia started at Shaner in January of 2026. Before joining the team at Shaner, she spent time at Marriott International as Director of Marketing at Marriott Village Orlando, and prior to Marriott was over at Aimbridge Hospitality's in-house agency, Second Wave, as Marketing Manager overseeing a portfolio of 20 hotels across the US, Caribbean, and LATAM. She earned her Media Communications degree at Full Sail University, and is based in Celebration, Florida.

Alison Waldon

Digital Marketing Manager

Alison Waldon is the Digital Marketing Manager for Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club, and Courtyard Faro Blanco Resort in the Florida Keys. Prior to joining Shaner Hotel Group, Alison worked for Omni Hotels & Resorts, where she served as the marketing manager at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. During her tenure, she was a finalist for the Board of Governors' Award of Excellence and assisted in leading marketing efforts at the resort through an extensive renovation and reopening. Her innovative events and campaigns supported the resort in winning multiple awards and accolades. She holds a degree in Journalism (Public Relations) with a minor in marketing from Baylor University and is pursuing an MBA at The University of Texas at Dallas.

Tessa Jewell

Digital Content Specialist

Tessa joined Shaner in January 2023. She has over 5 years of experience in website design and media management. After obtaining her degree in Business Management from Geneva College, Tessa worked as a Media Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for 4 years, and then started her own part-time website design business for local small businesses and nonprofits. She is excited to be working for Shaner and learning the hospitality industry. She is based in New Castle, PA. 


Tessa handles the digital content management for all of Shaner's hotels, including brand websites, Shanercorp.com, vanity sites, and Discovery Pages. She also manages any content requests.
